The Crown Procedure

Dental crowns typically require two visits:

1
First Visit: Preparation
  • Remove decay and build up the tooth if needed
  • Shape the tooth for proper crown placement
  • Take a precise digital scan of your tooth and surrounding teeth
  • Place a temporary crown to protect your tooth while your permanent crown is being crafted
2
Lab Fabrication

We work closely with a skilled ceramicist near our office to create a crown that matches the color, shape, and function of your natural teeth.

3
Second Visit: Placement
  • Remove the temporary crown
  • Check the fit, color, and bite of your permanent crown
  • Make any necessary adjustments
  • Cement the crown for a secure, lasting restoration
