Why Preventive Dental Care Matters

  • Detect dental problems early before they become serious
  • Freshen breath and improve overall oral hygiene
  • Maintain healthy gums and avoid gum disease
  • Protect your long-term overall health

Professional Preventive Support

Even with excellent home care, professional dental visits remain essential.

Routine Checkups & Fluoride Treatments

Routine Checkups & Fluoride Treatments

Regular exams every six months remove plaque, monitor oral health, and strengthen enamel. Fluoride helps protect teeth from acid wear caused by modern diets and drinks.
Dental Sealants

Dental Sealants

Protective coatings can be applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth to help prevent decay in areas that are difficult to clean.
Custom Mouthguards & Bite Guards

Custom Mouthguards & Bite Guards

Professionally fitted guards protect your teeth during sports, reduce wear from grinding or clenching, and help relieve TMJ-related jaw tension.

Your At-Home Prevention Routine

Here are a few simple ways that you can prevent the build-up of plaque and cavities:

1
Brush Twice Daily

Brush at least twice a day using a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Also be sure to brush the top surface of your tongue. This will remove any extra plaque-causing food particles, and help keep your breath fresh.

2
Floss Once Daily

Clean between your teeth by flossing at least once a day. You can also use a neutral pH mouthwash to help kill bacteria and freshen your breath.

3
Maintain a Balanced Diet

Limit sugary and acidic foods and drinks, and choose nutrient-rich options like vegetables, fruits, yogurt, and cheese to support strong enamel and healthy gums.
